100m high chimney

The Community of Leith in Edinburgh is threatened by plans for a giant biomass power station - burning millions of tonnes of imported wood 24/7 to generate electricity (wasting heat) - situated just 200 metres from local housing, with a 120m high chimney, emitting toxins, and generating increased lorry traffic.

We are strongly opposed to the building of this giant incinerator within our community because of local, national and global impacts. Click these links to learn more: Local ConcernsNational ConcernsGlobal Concerns
