City of Edinburgh Council

City of Edinburgh Council has never revealed what its position was / would have been on the proposed biomass plant at Leith. The council is known (through 'freedom of information' requests) to have had numerous meetings with Forth Energy, over a long period, from pre-2010 when the proposal was first made public, and right up to the last minute, in December 2011 and January 2012 but many of these were apparently un-Minuted.

With Council elections taking place in May 2012, prospective Councillors are probably happy that the issue has 'gone away' for the present, as it was so controversial.
